Empower Her to Speak! is designed to make sexual and reproductive health information practical, memorable and useful beyond a single session.
The project has three connected streams: facilitated SRHR learning, printed Period Diaries and pocket-sized information cards that girls can keep and share. The Period Diary acts as a companion tool throughout the learning process, combining cycle tracking, body literacy, rights information and space for reflection.
Girls need accurate, accessible information about puberty, menstruation, bodily autonomy, healthy relationships and where to seek safe reproductive-health services. Stigma and misinformation can make these conversations difficult.
The project combines participatory SRHR sessions with a practical Period Diary and take-home information cards. Sessions use small-group discussion, anonymous question boxes, case scenarios and peer sharing so girls can engage safely with sensitive topics.
